Drake Bay Travel Update

Drake Bay Fishing Update

We are pleased to report that as of November 1, 2020 Costa Rica has opened it’s borders to the world. A COVID-19 TEST IS NO LONGER REQUIRED, however tourists must buy health insurance and complete the health form. Click here for the latest requirements from the Costa Rican government and links for insurance and the health form needed. These requirements may change so feel free to check back with us when you book your flights or check the website for any updates.

We understand that during these times travel plans can change quickly so effective November 1 we are offering a 100% money back guarantee for any deposits paid if your trip is cancelled. Thankfully we have had no cases in our little village to date. Our restaurants, hotels and grocery stores are open and observing proper social distancing protocols. The major airlines have resumed flights to San Jose and our 3 intra-country airlines, Sansa, Skyways and Aerobell are flying into the Drake Bay Airport.

As far as the fishing goes, we can’t wait to get back on the water everyday. Our last few trips have yielded several nice Cubera Snapper, Tuna and Amberjack. As we enter December the magnificent Pacific Sailfish begin to migrate into our waters. We suggest you make your fishing and hotel reservations for the high season (December-April) as soon as possible.

Contact us at info@fishdrakebay.com or complete the form under the “Reserve a Trip” link on our website. Please feel free to ask us questions about your trip to our beautiful country, we are happy to help. I look forward to fishing with you soon!
